Dream poem

On occasion, I remember poems that my dreams write. Sometimes, they're completely laughable. When I'm lucky, there's a line or two I can use. Usually, upon waking, I discover they're not nearly as good as I was led to believe in the dream. Here's one that arrived last night.

he is the kind of guy
who edits on the fly

when the buzz has stopped
the editing is dropped

That's hilarious! And...what a great correspondence between "fly" and "buzz." It reminds me a lot of cartoons that use a fly buzzing over someone's head to imply thought. But a particular kind of thought! Yet, I'm not sure I can say what that "particular" kind is. I really like this little set. I would never have considered a fly buzzing overhaed as editing something. It seems more arbitrary to me. This poem really has me thinking. Swat! There, I've said it!

Very Kool mb.

Thanks, all. ...I guess life is pretty good when you can wake up laughing at yourself! I'm glad you laughed, too.

Silverm00n, I'm glad you got a kick out of this. If you can't read your own scrawl you must be really catching things while they're fresh!
