Salt

Breathless, squinting. The dry, crunchy, vastness glares like a snowfield.
Constant, vicious wind tries to push us over, throws salt
in our eyes, peppers our cheeks with miniscule stinging pellets.

Looks awfully familiar... Are you close by? Wanna come have lunch?

Vast, indeed. Wondering if this is somewhere in South America, I forget the place?

Zhoen has the local advantage. ;-) It's Bonneville Salt Flats in Utah. A strange place. That's not sand; it's salt.

Z, not close by on a regular basis. Just passing through. Sometime it would be fun, though.

MB, HA! I knew it. D knew immediately as well. Very strange, ever see Carnival of Souls?

Z, no I haven't, but we did see the Saltair Palace wavering like a mirage out of a Thousand and One Nights.
