Like that

I have nothing to offer
but this
the fire of one soul
reaching out
to another

the spark
when two live wires
touch

I trace a shooting
star through the night
falling into
the dim light of
the eastern sky's rim

and I say
yes
like that

just like that

The connection of this to all sentient beings (which we all are)is subtle and obvious in the same rush of lighted words.

Your spark, always brilliant, leaves me content to be ground!

I like the surprise element of the last few lines ... and as always, your use of language.

There's something risky here, and I can't put my finger on it. Yes, it should be just like that, it should, clear of all encumberances, and just about the connection, its spark... sorry, I'm at work, gotta go. I do love the poem!
