April fool

I am an April fool
dwelling in bright uncertainty —

hope strung sparkling across
the teeth of darkness —

drinking from the world's
elusive green whorl.

Sabal palms. Click on the photos for more detail.

Fantastic images - the whorl of pattern, the green...
along with the words suggesting an environmental connection with the world's green.

Welcome back MB! And with what a flourish you've returned. I so love the poem and images of the palms. I would love to quote the poem on 100 if that would meet with your approval.

Me too!

Clever of you to yoke Palm Sunday and April foolery.

Marja-Leena, I can't imagine not having a connection with the world's green!

Jean, merci beaucoups! Ces deux sont peut-etre un tout petit peu comme les votres, deux etudes de lumiere?

Pauline, a sense of humor is a necessity!

Pat, thanks. Not really - a little sharpening for these lower resolution files, that's all. I knew when I took them they could turn out well. Looking at things in the right light makes all the difference...

Bitterroot, thank you, and by all means.

Marly, the wonder of poetry is that it makes it possible to point out that it's all yoked in the end! (Yokes and yolks... )

"I am an April fool, dwelling in bright uncertainty! - that will stay with me, I think, along with the fantastically bright, detailed, enticing images.

Floots, thank you. I'm still looking over my shoulder.

Dave, oh good. I'm glad you thought it worked.

Gautami, aren't they joyful? Those seedlings were breathing green!

I've spent the day drawing and painting palm trees and I check in here and voila, palm trees.
