Love for each day

love for each day bringing light
love for the darkness of each night
love for the pain of death and losses
love for the challenges life tosses
love for the birds in the open sky
love for the earth that does not lie
love for those who love us back
love for those whom we cannot crack
love for the sweetness of our dreams
love for what is not as it seems

love this litany... its dreamlike turnings like a rubics cube of changing perspectives.

Yes, lovely. I could almost imagine hearing a children's choir singing it set to music ....

Most beautiful, and loving! I like especially that many of the objects are not people, places of things, but qualities...

In keeping with the spirit...I love the last line, and all it holds.

Magnifique !!
Vous devriez écrire des poèmes en Français !!!

Snowsparkle, a rubic's cube is much the way it seems. A puzzle, an interrelation of diverse and opposing parts.

Mary, that's a very intriguing thought. Thank you.

Brenda, certainly qualities as well as objects... the whole thing!

Alan, I am working on it, too, that's why I write about it!

tongue in cheek... I'm pleased you enjoyed the poem. And welcome!

Lori w, and oh, that last line holds much! I'm gratified that you picked up on that.

Jean, merci.

What a benediction. There's something so powerful in repetition.

Anne, yes, of course. Thank you for asking. I ask only that proper credit be given.

Leslee, you are right. Used in the right way, repetition can be a powerful tool. (Of course, improperly used... stultifying!)

Frankie, ah, thank you. You've made me smile.

... Ah, quelle aventure! Un grand merci, Jean! Vous vous montrez tellement genereux!
