What a beautiful picture. And the poem - lovely - like a cross between a lullaby and a haiku.
Nice!!
perfect match of idea, words, and picture
Quite a beautiful photograph, mb. It captures that space in the dark for the light to fall.
Glad to see you posting again.
Lullabye indeed.
not just a wow - a megawow :)
the picture is amazing and i'm completely knocked out by the words
Not only is this great advice, it is a fantastic little poem!!
Great photo.
Love the second line...
This photo has real visceral appeal and so does the poem, especially the first line for me. So simple....
A triumph of compression. Beautiful.
delicate and somehow sexy!
hmmm..it wouldn't let me leave a comment!
yes, light in the darkness is so critical to life...powerful words and a beautiful image, mb. missed you!
Beautiful - the photo and the poem. Quiet.
Looks like you're taking that advice to listen to heart. Hope things are going well for you
Snow on the way, and I'd like to be sliding down that little bright 'slide' of water, warm and splashy...
...and even in these
depts, far from the
caress of light,
far from the concept
of vision, we may
yet see the profound
luminance of the
obscure, who set
their very souls
alight in celebration
of a life undaunted...
I did, and am glad you do too.
And I'm smiling -- what seemed to be fireflies turned out to be nebulae.
:-)
As always, there is always space for the light here.
I'm happy that I found your site. "Make space in the dark/for the light to fall in"--yes. And also embrace the darkness for what it is. And the silence...
I love this little poem. I have been coming back often to read it in these strange days.
beautiful image and words, i found your blog via the bums. i'll stop by again. Thanks for putting it all out there.
This is beautiful.
This last week, I did. Now, to meditate on this daily.
Yes, lovely! I, too, keep coming back to it, so full of many meanings.
Hope you are wll, MB, you've been quiet lately.
