The Heard

This band plays only original music, written by one of the four guilty parties pictured above. All four write, sing, play, and enjoy each others' company immensely. One thing we haven't figured out is how to effectively describe the music. Let me know if you do!

The songs in the previous post are written and copyrighted by yours truly. The first song is on the first cd; the second song is on the new cd, just released.

Free song downloads: go here

The new cd (and samples): Bliss:

The first cd (and samples): Instincts:

The band's site: www.theheard.com

Enjoy!
Now heading back to the usual programming....

What a wonderful surprise to have such beautiful singing and harmony and guitar work coming from my computer this morning! You have so many talents, MB, that it's awe-inspiring. I can't get "Will You Ever Know" out of my head. You guys ought to come down to Austin some time and play. Great name for a band, too.

You're a national treasure! I love your voice! A beautiful range, from depths to delicate filigree with powerful emotional resonances... that I could listen for hours, and then some more. This is more than a treat, MB, thank you so, so much!

I've just discovered this site of yours, and listened to the two samples of songs. Wow! You want a description of your music, so how'z this:
"Rich bluesy, jazzy, soulful folk music"

That covers it! partially, anyway.

Brenda, you are very sweet, thank you.

cyclingdave, glad you like it! Thanks for coming around to listen.

Alan, thanks for being here to share with.

Tamar, I'm pleased you enjoy the music. Thanks!

Endment, thanks!

Janice, I was up your way not long ago. Such beautiful country. I love knowing that you'll be singing that way! Does my heart good.

Wandering Willow, welcome and thanks for visiting! Yes, that description covers... part of it — that's the hitch! The music is so varied it's hard to know how to encompass it in a brief description.

Firebird, thanks so much. I really appreciate your support. We can keep the cost low because we kept costs down on the front production end by doing most of our own sound production and doing our own graphics. We like it that way because it makes it more accessible, which to us is the point.

Glad your Heard got seen in this particular scene! And am impressed your creative energy extends across so many channels. Busy women don't get bored!

Speaking of busy women, will listen more later -- too darn much work this week, and am trying to catch up on sleep, Murry-time, errands etc.

Have fun, will stop back by soon...

What an amazing experience to hear your literal voice after listening to your poetic one for so long. Your song, is, as always, stunning.

I, too, will be ordering a CD!

Patry, thank you so much. You just let me know when your book is out.
